Hey Everyone!
I have had 2 very busy weeks; I was out on a tour, and then had to deal with some changes at work. As a result, I haven’t been able to focus much on blogging. I missed it; I missed blogging and reading all the fantastic posts put up by my very amazing blogging buddies. Anyway, finally everything has settled down and I am back to blogosphere.
This is in response to Cee’s Share Your World Challenge. Check her blog out. She creates some awesome challenges.
If you could have three wishes granted for you alone, what would they be?
- Become obscenely rich so that I can quit my job right away, and set out on a world tour.
- Visa to visit any country in this world.
- Better hair.
So, if you get hold of Aladdin’s lamp, what 3 things would you ask for?
What is the most incredible natural venue that you’ve ever seen in person?
It has to be the Living Root Bridge in a place called Mawlynnong in Meghalaya, India. It is one of the most incredible things I have seen till date. The local Khasi tribe lay the foundation of the bridges using Bamboo trees and beetle-nut tree trunks, and then entwine it with the thin, tender roots of a banyan tree. Gradually the roots grow stronger, and spread around the foundation to form a bridge and reach the other side of the river to grow into another tree.
Each bridge takes about 15-20 years to grow.
There is one famous double decker root bridge near the village Nongriat (a UNESCO heritage site) which is said to be more than 150 years old.
Is your hair short (total neck and ear showing), medium (covering ears and neck), long (below shoulders) or extra long (at least halfway down your back)?
It’s medium length. As much as I would like it to grow longer, it refuses to grow beyond a certain length. 😦

It, indeed, is! Glad you liked it. 🙂
It’s a perfect example of how nature can be used for our convenience, without causing any damage to it.

Nice choice of wishes, I think I’d choose very similarly! And loving that Banyan tree, they are so beautiful. And finally – a massive thank you for having me on your list! You made my day xx

Haha. You are welcome, but it’s you who made it into my list. 😉
The place feels ethereal. If elves existed, that’s probably where they would dwell. Glad you liked it. Thank you!
p.s.: It seems like I am recovering from my “!” addiction. 😉
